ABOUT PRIDE INTERFAITH CELEBRATION:
This annual LGBTQIA+ inclusive event tradition is an official part of Austin Pride Week and features speakers from our LGBTQIA+ communities. 350 attendees expected this year. ASL interpretation provided. Reception immediately following. FREE. All are welcome–including people of any faith tradition (or none)
FAITH LEADER PROCESSIONAL:
All faith leaders invited to join our opening processional. Most participants choose to wear garments indicative of their faith leader roles, including robes, stoles, yarmulkes, and head coverings. Please wear what you feel is appropriate for a faith leader gathering. Participants asked to arrive early, by 3:15pm on the day of the event.
To be announced.
Our annual Pride Interfaith Partnership service couldn’t exist without the help of generous donations. Text “FUMC PRIDE” to “73256” and follow the prompts
The Pride Interfaith Partnership is supported by Austin PRIDE, hosted by Temple Beth Shalom, sponsored by First United Methodist Church Austin, and organized by the Pride Interfaith Partnership of Austin—a group of volunteers who support safe spiritual environments in the Austin area where all people, regardless of difference, can come together to express oneness through love. We believe that love is love is love. We believe that being LGBTQIA+ and faith-minded are not mutually exclusive. We affirm that all LGBTQIA+ people and allies are beautifully created and worthy of unconditional love and respect. Learn how you can join the partnership and help spread the love!
